Tom Paines
The Tom Paines are a folk duo comprised of Alex McMurray and Jonathan Freilich, who bring you an ongoing exploration into various folksong styles from all over. If you are into things like Dave Van Ronk, Gary Davis, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Paul Clayton, Jimmie Rogers, The Holy Modal Rounders, Doc Watson, etc. ...or songs about peoples actual travails without much post-Dylan obfuscation ...If you are interested in that you will probably like this. They released their first CD The Rites of Man in 2010.
